You’ll learn from some of the greatest minds in the development and international relations industry and join an amazing group of global young SDG’s ambassadors.

Are you ready to join us?

You can also start LGD on your high school campus. It’s easy.

Step 1. Recruit a Few Friends and Find a Teacher Sponsor

Recruit 3-10 people to help you get the club up and find a member of the faculty/staff to serve as the faculty advisor. The faculty/staff should possess a strong commitment towards youth empowerment and must be very reputable on campus.

Step 2. Get Approval from Your School

Find out what requirements your high school has for starting a club. This is especially important if you want to use resources such as meeting rooms and permission to hold your events on school campuses. Your school may also require you to have:

A club constitution

Club leadership positions

A Faculty Advisor

Step 3. Register Your Club

Register your League for Global Development (LGD) Chapter here

Upon registration, your teacher sponsor will be sent an LGD Welcome Packet. Your club will also be assigned an LGD Primary Contact who will serve as your school’s mentor.

Step 4. Hold the First Club Meeting

Invite your primary contact from LGD to join in the meeting to answer questions and provide support and guidance in setting up the action plan for the club. Your assigned LGD Primary Contact will help with the planning.
